Ben Prestage (2007) -Real Music
Artist: Ben Prestage
Albums: Real Music
Released: 2007
Quality: mp3 CBR 192
Size: 73 MB
”…On this, his fourth album to date, Prestage delivers a range of blues standards, from the rural blues of Blind Boy Fuller (Rag), Bukka White (Good Gin) and Robert Petway (Catfish Blues), coupled with a taste of the urban blues of Willie Dixon and Howlin' Wolf (Backdoor Man). Although steeped in all manner of blues traditions, this essentially blues based album does have its lighter moments in the traditional Darktown Strutter's Ball and Washboard Sam's Wrong Woman, both with an infectious foot-tapping goodtime groove, together with a short but sweet take on Buck Washington's Save the Roach for Me. Prestage also includes a couple of self-penned songs on REAL MUSIC, the title song and The Ambitious, both of which sit well alongside the standards.” © Northern Sky

Esmerelda Strange -2 albums

Artist: Esmerelda Strange
Album: Introducing / Strange Encounters
Released: 2005 / 2007
Quality: mp3 VBR ~ 200 / CBR 160
Size: 105 MB
Ms. Strange would describe herself as a punk rock band, but her musical influences and the resulting product contain elements of urban folk, cumbia, circus music, Norteno/ranchero, and an Eastern European gypsy sound. She sings both in English and Spanish. She is known for her saucy sense of humor and salty lyrics. Her music has been described as "acoustic electro-clash goes to the punk rock circus in Mexico." ©

Ben Prestage (2011) -One Crow Murder

Artist: Ben Prestage
Album: One Crow Murder
Released: 1997
Quality: Mp3 CBR 320
Size: 139 MB
Born the grandson of a Mississippi sharecropper, Ben Prestage has been soaked in Blues tradition and Mississippi culture since birth. Growing up in the swamps of south central Florida, Prestage began to mix Mississippi Country Blues with his own brand of Florida Swamp Blues. This muddy- water- meets- black- water stew has led him to perform from California to the Carolinas to the Florida Keys, in large festivals, every kind of bar, and sometimes on downtown sidewalks. Ben Prestage spent some time as a street performer on historic Beale Street, while living in Memphis, TN. He used to share a spot in front of the New Daisy Theatre with modern blues legends Robert Belfour (Fat Possum Records) and Richard Johnston (2001 International Blues Competition winner). Being a street musician in the “Blues capital of the South” threw Prestage’s music in a new direction. To his show, he added a cigarbox guitar (made by Memphian an one-man-band John Lowe) which has stereo guitar and bass strings that can be played independently, at the same time. Then Ben added a series of four foot pedals that can be manipulated by the heels and toes of both feet to play a drumkit. The final result is Ben playing guitar, bass, and drums while singing his own brand of Blues which leaves bottles empty and dance floors full wherever his music takes him. bluesboys.com

Doctor Ross (1979) -Jivin' The Blues

Artist: Doctor Ross
Album: Jivin’ The Blues
Released: 1979
Quality: mp3 CBR 320
Size: 98 MB
Isaiah "Doc" Ross was a throwback to a bygone era; a true one-man band, he played harmonica, acoustic guitar, bass drum and high-hat simultaneously, creating a mighty racket harking back to the itinerant country-blues players wandering the Delta region during the earlier years of the 20th century. Born Charles Isaiah Ross on October 21, 1925 in Tunica, Mississippi, he took early inspiration from the music of Robert Johnson, Blind Boy Fuller and Sonny Boy Williamson I; primarily a harpist -- hence his nickname "The Harmonica Boss" -- he only added the other instruments in his arsenal in order to play a USO show while a member of the army during World War II. (The "Doc" moniker was acquired because he carried his harmonicas in a doctor's bag.) Upon his release from the military, Ross settled in Memphis, where he became a popular club fixture as well as the host of his own radio show on station WDIA; during his club residency he was witness to a number of brutal murders, however, and swore off appearances in such venues during the later years of his life. During the early 1950s, Ross recorded his first sides -- among them "Chicago Breakdown" -- for labels including Sun and Chess; in 1954 he settled in Flint, Michigan, where he went to work as a janitor for General Motors, a position he held until retiring. In 1965 he cut his first full-length LP, Call the Doctor, and that same year mounted his first European tour; as the years passed Ross performed live with decreasing frequency, however, and was infamous for backing out of shows to catch his beloved Detroit Tigers on television. Upon winning a Grammy for his 1981 album Rare Blues, he experienced a career resurgence, and played festival dates to great acclaim prior to his death on May 28, 1993. ~ Jason Ankeny, allmusic.com

O Lendário Chucrobillyman (2008) -The Chicken Album

Artist: O Lendário Chucrobillyman
Albums: The Chicken Album
Released: 2008
Quality: mp3 CBR 160
Size: 29 MB
In his new album titled "The Chicken Album", "O Lendário Chucrobillyman" shows us new musical compositions fully based in the Brasilian country acoustic guitar sonority called “viola” introducing something about "The Chicken Style". The Chicken Style or “O estilo da Galinha” in Portuguese speaking, it’s a kind of style based in the way of delta blues players mixed with the style of the brazilian viola players so the 10 string viola sonority came by itself. All the songs were arranged and composed with a percussive concern, in this way the percussion was composed by pieces of rubish like oil cans, washboards, cardboard boxes, a garbage can as a bassdrum, kitchen pans, and scrapmetal. Enjoy this Trash primitve country garage album with all your family and friends.
